This is an incredibly stable pad. Awesome in fact. I had tried the Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad and it slid all over. It endangered not only the unit but me and my passengers. It knonked my wife on the knee pretty hard. You had to constantly be on edge that it would fall off.
This item though is like super-glue. It sticks on EVERY turn and I am using it on the same exact dashboard the Bracketron would slide constantly on. This has not slid once on any turn, sharp U-turns included. I can not get it to budge. As an added bonus it is much smaller than the Bracketron hence easier to transfer between cars or stick in a glove department. It is usually priced higher than the Bracketron but it will be the best extra few dollars you have spent.

This mount is heavy, stable, and does what it's supposed to do. There is a protective paper covering on the bottom which, obviously, must be removed before you can use it. Some Tips.
If you have used Armorall, or something similar, on your dash, You will need to vigerously wipe the area where you intend to place the mount with a damp cloth.
You will have to make sure there is no dust on the dash where this will sit.
I always wipe the bottom of the mount with a damp cloth to remove any dust before using it.

| I kept having problems with my GPS staying stuck to the windshield with shifting humidity... this is definitely the answer. It doesn't look like it'll stay put on the dash, but it's got a non-slip bottom, and it's hefty enough to stay in one place. The GPS stays where it's supposed to, and the mount has never moved unless I was trying to move it. Works absoultely perfectly. |
What a GPS mount.

| After reviewing several reviews for the different kinds of GPS dash mounts, I opted for the HDFMB-2. WHAT A MOUNT. I have a Magellan Maestro 3250 and this mount dosen't know it's attached. I have driven and used this mount in a Jeep Liberty, Dodge van, Mitsubishi Galant and a C280 Mercedes Benz. This mount made the GPS move to each vehicle a breeze and the mount stayed right where I put it and it looks great. It was easy to hide with no tall tail signs of a GPS ownership. If you are considering a dash mount you cannot go wrong with this dash mount. I would buy this again. Fast shipping, I ordered this from Semsons thru Amazon on a thursday and received it the following tuesday. Go Amazon |

Searched and looked at the reviews for a lot of these friction Dash Mounts. Most of the users didn't like the other mounts when using a TomTom. This mount works great!
There is plenty of room to connect the power cord and have it at a good angle you can view. (The cutout, helps with this). I cleaned the dash with the provided wipe and took the paper off the rubber base. (It appears to be a silicone). The thing stays in one place and never moved under hard acceleration or sharp corners. (I didn't try hard breaking as that would have just pushed it toward the windshield.)
Don't hesitate with this one, it works great.
Tips:
- Keeping the Dash dusted will help this item stay put. The tacky silicone grabs dust.
- The silicone is easy to clean with rubbing alcohol.
- The TomTom suction cup initially stayed on a week and then started popping off randomly once a day or so. Cleaning the suction cup and the plastic suction cup mount with the same alcohol and letting them dry a couple minutes solved this issue.
Overall, I'm really please with this device. While a bit more expensive than some, it was worth it.
