Used Garmin GPSMAP 196. This model is still in production and lists for $595 new. I bought this off eBay in 2008 and have since stopped flying. The previous seller did not mention the fact that they had let batteries leak in the battery compartment – I cleaned this up as best I could (see the photos), but I never had the unit not function because of this.
